Romancing the Stone

تستلم (جوان وايلدر)؛ مؤلفة الروايات، رسالة من أحد أقاربها، تحتوي الرسالة على خريطة تقود لموقع كنز مدفون، في الوقت ذاته تكتشف أن شقيقتها (إيلين) قد تم اختطافها من مجرمين يريدان الوصول للخريطة. تسافر جوان إلى كولومبيا لتعطي لهم ما يطلبانه، وتستعيد شقيقتها، لكنها تضل الطريق في الأدغال، وتجد نفسها مطاردة من قبل الشرطي الفاسد (زولو) الذي يرغب في الوصول للكنز.
