Overview
V alternativní historii světa, kterou utvářejí superhrdinové, byli kdysi slavní "dobrodruzi v kostýmech" zakázáni společností, která je zklamaná ze strážců pořádku. Nyní, v roce 1985, přitáhne vražda Komedianta, hrdiny, který se stal vládním agentem, pozornost Rorschacha, posledního ze zakázaných mstitelů. Rorschachovo vyšetřování zaplete jeho vysloužilé kolegy Nite Owla, Silk Spectre, Dr. Manhattana a Ozymandiase do konfliktu s jejich minulostí, mezi sebou navzájem a do záhady, která ohrožuje jejich životy i svět na pokraji války.
