Lange schon träumen Kate und Matt in New York von Kindern - nur einstellen will es sich nicht. Mit dem Umzug in ein altes Haus in Maryland wollen sie einen neuen Lebensabschnitt beginnen. Schnell stellen sie fest, dass ein versteckter Raum in dem Haus über übernatürliche Kräfte verfügt: Jeder Wunsch, den man dort äußert, wird sofort erfüllt.
