Haruka Nanase ist endlich auf der internationalen Bühne der Schwimmer angekommen! Nach einer kurzen Verschnaufpause in der Heimat, heißt es nicht nur für ihn, sondern auch für Rin und Ikuya endlich: auf zur Meisterschaft nach Sydney. Mit den Gefühlen seiner Freunde im Herzen, wagt Haruka endlich den entscheidenden Schritt nach vorne, wo ihn bereits der unnahbare Champion erwartet: Albert Wåhlander. Wird einer der Schwimmer auf dem Weg zum Finale doch noch die Nerven verlieren? Bald sieht es ganz so aus, als ob Haruka, Rin und Ikuya eine schwere Entscheidung treffen müssten. Doch wird ihre Freundschaft das überstehen?
