Als die junge Carol erfährt, dass sie schwanger ist, reagiert ihr Freund Steven alles andere als begeistert auf die frohe Botschaft. Er möchte auf keinen Fall Vater werden. Doch Carol besteht darauf, das Baby zu bekommen und Steven muss mit der Wahrheit herausrücken, die er ihr so lange vorenthielt: Er kommt aus einer Familie von Kleinwüchsigen. Sowohl seine Eltern, als auch sein Zwillingsbruder Rolfe sind davon betroffen. Jetzt befürchtet Steven das gleiche Schicksal für sein Kind.
