Overview
Οχι ευτυχώς δεν πρόκειται για βιογραφία του Pete Doherty ή επανέκδοση της Mylene Farmer αλλά για το ημι-βιογραφικό φιλμ του σημαντικού συγγραφέα και ποιητή John Wilmot, δούκα του Rochester που εδώ υποδύεται ο χαρισματικός Johnny Depp. Ο αλκοολικός, άθεος, γυναικάς και αντιρρησίας σε κάθε μορφή εξουσίας Wilmot αποτέλεσε εντούτοις τον προστατευόμενο του προοδευτικού βασιλιά Charles II μέχρι την στιγμή που η αυτοκαταστροφική του φύση τον αποξένωσε τόσο από τον βασιλιά όσο και από την θεατρίνα Elizabeth (Samantha Morton), ίσως την μοναδική γυναίκα που αγάπησε.
