Overview
Medics was a British medical drama series first broadcast on ITV on 14 November 1990. The show ran for five series with a total of 40 episodes. The show came to end on 24 November 1995. It follows the everyday lives and loves, trials and tribulations of the doctors, nurses, patients and administrative staff of a large teaching hospital in the north-west of England near the city of Manchester.

Season one of ""Medics"" featured an episode called ""Alex"" which was all about medical student, Alex Taylor. This season was shot on video tape rather than film. Alex goes with Helen, a psychiatrist, to the police station to retrieve a patient of hers who has been arrested for driving under the influence. As they drive her home, the woman, Julia Torrence, intrigues Alex . He asks to sit in on her session.
