Get set for It’s Not Rocket Science, a brand new entertainment series that celebrates science and the world around us through thrilling, big-scale experiments and emotive personal stories. Fronted by actor Ben Miller, stand up comedian Romesh Ranganathan and presenter Rachel Riley, all of whom share a passion for science and technology, the fast paced and informative six-part series brings science to life in all its many forms, showcasing brand new gadgets and technology, and using awe inspiring innovation. Every week, one of the presenters will put their lives in jeopardy in a series of daredevil, high-risk experiments, where only science can save them. Rachel plays with fire, quite literally, as she zip wires through a wall of flames, Ben Miller finds himself strapped to a high speed wrecking ball and hurtling towards Romesh, and Romesh is pinned to the floor with a full size fridge plummeting towards him. Resident scientist Dr Kevin Fong will preside over the high-octane activity as the trio put their trust in science to survive…

Episode 1
Ben Miller, Romesh Ranganathan and Rachel Riley present a new series celebrating the sort of technological advances that we tend to take for granted. In the first episode, man is pitted against machine as sprinter and Olympic hopeful Adam Gemili attempts to outrun one of the Red Arrows. Rachel risks her life in an attempt to pass through a wall of fire. Ben utilises the awesome power of Joey Essex's brain to drive a car in an experiment generally acknowledged to set a precedent for a number of reasons. Finally, former teacher Romesh returns to the classroom armed with cutting-edge technology to take a lesson for the first time in three years.
Episode 2
On tonight’s show Ben puts his faith in science as he is strapped inside a two hundred and fifty kilogram wrecking ball and is set on a deadly collision course to hit Romesh. Rachel discovers how technology is making the dreams of a father of bride come true. And Romesh goes head to head in a race against a drone and a white van man.
Episode 3
On tonight’s show will science save Romesh from a fridge being dropped towards his head? Ben and Eamon unlock the truly explosive power of sugar. Rachel finds out what life in space is like with British astronaut Tim Peake. And if you want to score the perfect goal in football then Romesh has all the tips.
Episode 4
Romesh Ranganathan has only a humble vacuum cleaner to help save him from the pit of hungry crocodiles he is being dangled over, while Ben Miller travels to Paris to meet a friendly artificial-intelligence robot. Rachel Riley carries out her own tests into how the placebo effect work and the team attempts to set a new world record using the power of a laser.
Episode 5
Rachel Riley meets a team of British engineers working on creating the first ever car able to travel at 1000mph. Romesh Ranganathan discovers how the food industry uses technology to manipulate customers' taste buds and Ben Miller has to survive having flaming crossbow bolts fired at his head. Plus, a new kind of fire extinguisher that uses sound to put out blazes.
Episode 6
Rachel Riley rides across a steel cable 60ft in the air on a bike like no other, while Romesh Ranganathan discovers how science is muscling in on the dating scene and conducts a special experiment of his own. Plus, Ben Miller travels to Germany to witness the groundbreaking moment when a new fusion reactor is turned on. Last in the series (but not until they've also tested the flammable properties of hydrogen).
