Overview
A hatalomvágytól megszállott Griffin Mill az egyik hollywoodi filmstúdió nagyhatalmú igazgatóhelyettes-producere. Egyszóval élet-halál ura, ő az, aki a benyújtott tartalmi kivonatok alapján a filmek sorsáról dönt. Egyik nap Griffin fenyegető üzenetet talál a postájában, majd a fenyegetés később faxon és telefonon is megismétlődik. Menő producerünk attól való félelmében, hogy az egyik elutasított kliense az életére tör, tévedésből megöl egy embert.
