Overview
Szomáliai kalózok fenyegetik az Adeni-öbölben áthaladó teherhajókat. 2009. április 7-én az USA Tengerészeti Hivatala figyelmeztetést adott ki: a fokozódó kalózveszély miatt legalább 1100 kilométer távolságot tartsanak Szomália partjaitól. Csupán egy nappal később kalózok ostromolták meg a Maersk Alabama nevű teherhajót, amely afrikai jótékonysági szervezetek számára szállított segélyt.
