Overview
A félénk Jean felszolgáló egy nagy hotelben. Iréne, egy kalandornő véletlenül milliárdosnak nézi, és ráveti magát. Amikor azonban rájön az igazságra hamar faképnél hagyja a férfit. A szerelmes Jean mindent bevet, hogy megtalálja, mígnem a Cote d'Azur-ön akad Irénere. Hamarosan azonban minden pénzét elveszti és egy számára egyébként kedves munkára kényszerül: selyemfiúnak szegődik. Új állása felkelti Iréne érdeklődését, míg végül a társaságát is elfogadja. Segíti, tanácsokkal látja el és bár magának sem ismeri be, de egyre közelebb kerül Jeanhoz.
