Overzicht
In een geïsoleerd, met sneeuw bedekt land dat bekend staat als het Waterland, blijft de stad Shandrilan de stilste plek ter wereld omdat de 'Stiltewet' alle soorten lawaai verbiedt, inclusief muziek. Betreed de verbannen zigeuner Zantalalia (Patti LuPone), die vastbesloten terugkeert om haar zanggeheimen door te geven aan de tienjarige Aurora (Meredith Henderson), een actie die het meisje in de problemen zal brengen met Kapitein Nizzle van de gevreesde Geluidspolitie. John Neville completeert de cast van deze kleurrijke familiefantasie.
