Overzicht
Het rijk van de magie wordt bedreigd door het rijk van de logica, dus Carolinus, de groene tovenaar, besluit het voor altijd te beschermen. Ommadon, de boze rode tovenaar, staat hem in de weg. Carolinus roept vervolgens op tot een zoektocht die moet worden geleid door een man genaamd Peter Dickinson, die de eerste man is van zowel het rijk van de wetenschap als van de magie. Het is Peters taak om Ommadon te verslaan.
