Overzicht
De 12-jarige vrienden Dustin, Albert en Mark kijken uit naar de zomer van 1970. Dustin heeft een oogje op Tanya en wil haar vragen voor een date, iets wat hij nog nooit heeft gedaan. Zijn grootste angst is de bullebak van de stad, Nick, die Tanya ook leuk vind. Wanneer Dustin het gras aan het maaien is van de 75-jarige Jonathan Sperry (MacLeod), een man die hij kent van de kerk, ontstaat er een unieke vriendschap.
