Overview
Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau kieruje się w swym filmie nie tyle dramatem Wolfganga Goethego, ile średniowieczną baśnią ludową: Faust [Gösta Ekman] zapisuje swą duszę Mefistofelesowi [Emil Jannings] i otrzymuje od niego z powrotem swą młodość.
