Overview
Lato 1941 roku, Europa Centralna. Żydzi - mieszkańcy małego miasteczka - dowiadują się, że wkrótce w ich okolicy pojawią się Niemcy. Postanawiają uprzedzić hitlerowską akcję, pozorując własną deportację. Organizują specjalny pociąg, szyją hitlerowskie mundury, uczą się mówić po niemiecku bez akcentu jidisz, gromadzą żywność, fałszują dokumenty i opuszczają miasto. Mają nadzieję, że udając więźniów i eskortujących ich nazistów, szczęśliwie dotrą do Palestyny. Problemy pojawiają się, gdy podczas podróży spotykają prawdziwych Niemców.
