เรื่องย่อ
เป็นเรื่องราวในชีวิตของ ลิตเติ้ล สแปโรว์ หรือ อีดิธ พีอาฟ (มาริยอง คอติยาร์) ผู้ซึ่งมารดาของเธอนั้นเป็นนักร้องข้างถนนที่ขี้เหล้า ส่วนบิดานั้นเป็นนักแสดงละครสัตว์ และมีคุณย่าเป็นแม่เล้า ในวัยเด็กนั้นเธอได้อาศัยกับคนเหล่านี้ แต่เมื่ออายุ 20 ปี เธอก็เป็นนักร้องข้างถนนที่ถูกเจ้าของคลับมาพบเข้าก่อนที่เขาจะถูกฆาตกรรม เธอจึงได้รับการฝึกฝนจากนักดนตรี ซึ่งนำเธอมาขึ้นคอนเสิร์ต จากนั้นไม่นานเธอก็โด่งดังไปทั่ว ต่อมาเธอทั้งติดเหล้าและตรอมใจจากโศกนาฏกรรมทางความรักของเธอกับ มาเซลล์ เซอร์ดาน (ฌอง-ปิแอร์ มาร์ตินส์) และการตายของบุตรเพียงคนเดียวของเธอ ถูกกลั่นกรองมาเป็นเพลง Non , je ne regrette rien ซึ่งได้กลายมาเป็นเพลงประจำตัวของเธอ
