Huyền Thoại Mùa Thu phim nói về một gia đình đại tá trong thế chiến thứ nhất, ông phản đối chính phủ đối xử bạc đãi với người da đỏ. Ông có 3 người con trai và chuyển đến vùng núi đồi sống cùng người dân da đỏ. Một gia đình rất êm ấm và hạnh phúc nếu như không có sự hiện diện của một cô gái mồ coi xinh đẹp bởi lẽ cả 3 anh em điều yêu thích cô ấy. Và khi chiến tranh xảy ra người con út tử trận nơi xa trường , người con thứ thì bỏ đi chu du chỉ còn lại mỗi người con lớn.
